A STATISTICAL CRITIQUE OF THE WITZTUM et al PAPER

This paper examines whether the significance test described in the paper Equidistant Letter Sequences in the Book of Genesis by Witztum, Rips and Rosenberg was carried out in accordance with accepted procedure, and whether the distance metric used accomplishes its stated purpose. In the light of that examination, it appears that the conclusion of the paper is unfounded.
